A rocker switch is a switch with a small contact interval and a fast acting mechanism, which performs switch operations with a predetermined stroke and force, covered by a housing, and externally equipped with a driving rod. Because the contact spacing of its switch is relatively small, it is called a rocker switch off, also known as a sensitive switch.

What is the working principle of a rocker switch? Let's take a brief look together.

The external mechanical force is applied to the action spring through transmission components (such as pins, buttons, levers, rollers, etc.). When the action spring is moved to a critical point, instantaneous action is generated, causing the moving contact at the end of the action spring to quickly connect or disconnect from the fixed contact.

When the force on the transmission element is removed, the acting spring produces a reverse force. When the reverse stroke of the transmission element reaches the critical point of the spring's action, the reverse action is instantly completed.

The distance between the contacts of the rocker switch is small, and the action stroke is short. The power is quickly turned on and off, and the movement speed of the moving contacts is independent of the movement speed of the transmission components.

Rocker switches are widely used for automatic control and safety protection in equipment that requires frequent circuit switching. They are widely used in electronic equipment, instruments and meters, mines, power systems, household appliances, electrical equipment, as well as military fields such as aerospace, aviation, ships, missiles, tanks, etc. They have been widely used in these fields. Although small, switches play an irreplaceable role.

At present, the mechanical life of rocker switches on the domestic market varies from 3W times to 1000W times according to different usage requirements, generally including 10W, 20W, 50W, 100W times, 300W times, 500W times, and 800W times. In China, beryllium bronze, tin bronze, and stainless steel wire are commonly used as springs, while foreign ALPS can achieve 1000W times. Their springs are made of rare metal titanium.

For example, computer mice, car mouses, automotive electronic products, communication equipment, products, testing instruments, gas water heaters, gas stoves, small household appliances, microwaves, electric rice cookers, floating ball equipment accessories, equipment, building automation, electric tools, general electrical and radio equipment, timers, etc.

What are the precautions for rocker switches? Let's take a brief look together.

1. When fixing the switch body, please use M2 small screws on a smooth surface to apply 0.098N· Fix with a torque below m. In addition, to prevent screws from loosening, it is recommended to use washers at the same time.

2. Please note that in the free state, the acting body should not directly apply force to the button or actuator, but should apply force vertically to the button during use.

3. The setting of the action after the action is based on an O.T. value of 70% or above. In the case of a switch, do not set the action body in one action position to avoid causing impact and shortening the service life due to opening and closing, over travel time.

4. In the case of manual welding, please use an electric temperature with temperature adjustment of 320 ℃ to complete the operation within 3 seconds, and be careful not to apply force to the terminal during the operation.

When using under small currents and voltages, it is recommended to use low-power circuit type (Au clad contacts).
